No one has a good night’s rest these days 31% of all the adults in the world don’t care about their sleep even if some know this can change their day in a better way. I am here to tell you that sleep is one of the most important things if you want to succeed in the game of life. You should prioritize sleep first and after working hours. You can’t work if you’re tier. Now let’s see how much sleep we need.
How to get the best sleep (Summary):
1. How much sleep does your body need?
2. Ready to go to bed?
3. What about the quality of my sleep?
4. Getting up is the hard part
How much sleep does your body need?
Your body on average needs around 8 hours of sleep but that is not true for everyone. Some might need 7 hours to get a well-reset sleep but others might need 9 hours even to feel a little bit of rest. If I would go now and sleep 6 hours this night I can tell you that tomorrow will be a bad day for me I will feel tired and not do as much work as I would want to. If you find the right hours of sleep and you do that constantly you will start seeing some improvements in many aspects of your life from the gym workout to the job that you might not even like.

Why you should aim for this 8-hour zone
You might think “Why should I not just sleep 11 hours that should make up even for the night that I lost yesterday.” From the logic that sleeping is just hours spent in bed, this argument can sound nice you just sleep more now to get back the sleep lost from yesterday but it is not working like this. If you try to sleep 11-12 hours the next day you will feel dizi from the extra time that you spend in bed and we don’t want that. If you lost a day let’s say to a party with some friends you should try to get the hours of sleep that you normally have every day (even on weekends).
Ready to go to bed?
Most of us (including me) have problems getting in bed. We remember that we didn’t do something like feeding the animal or taking out the trash and then after we were done we didn’t get ready to sleep we wasted some of our precious time on a screen. We need to stop doing this bad habit we have to start understanding that these screens don’t want us to have a good day tomorrow just a day where we use them!
Before you get in that comfy bed of yours you should know that if you want to get into a sleep state faster you should make an “ending day ritual”. This ritual can be as simple as just brushing your teeth. But if you want something more serious and complex you can add to it: a hot shower, reading a book, stretching your body, or just anything that relaxes you. (Don’t use any devices 2-3 hours before sleep they make blue light that stops your brain from making a chemical that gets you in a sleep state)
Reading in bed, you need to try this.
What to do if your bedroom to hot?
When I was little my mom would always have the bedroom at 24 degrees Celsius in the winter and since I was using a thick blanket I was getting very hot very fast. You might experience this too if you have a hot bedroom and you can’t fall asleep well I recommend getting that window open large 1 hour before sleep so you can rest well. (The room should be at 60 to 68 degrees Fahrenheit or 15.6 to 20 degrees Celsius)
What about the quality of my sleep?
The quality and the time of your sleep determines whether or not you will wake up rested the next day. So if you want quality sleep you will have to do more than just get in bed at the right time. First, you should not use alcohol or any substance other than water. Second, what you eat during the day will impact your quality of sleep (You have to eat healthy) and don’t eat 2 hours before sleeping. One important rule to get a good night’s sleep is to not use your phone before sleep (I told you earlier) and don’t have it in the same room where you sleep (if you use it as an alarm clock just buy a normal alarm clock to do the job). The temperature of the room has an impact here to so make sure you have that on your list.
Getting up is the hard part
Now that you know what makes a good night’s sleep let’s talk about how you can get up from the bed. To get up early you need to get up every day at the same time so the brain knows the right time to work. After you wake up get outside as soon as possible so you get the sun in your eyes this will help your brain know the time is right for working out. If you do all of this I can tell you that in a week you would not want to lay in bed.
Conclusion
Don’t give up even if sometimes is hard. Try to remember why you do all of this. To become better, to get what you want, to show others that you’re not like them. Anything that you believe in will happen even if others don’t think the same. Just try it out and see how it works. I believe in you.
