Books can change your life forever if you know how to use them. I have read many books, some better than others, but I can tell you that all of them had an impact on me at some point. They show me how to think out of the box and never to give up on my thinking. From this point on I will show you what books you should read and how to read them correctly so you can take from them all the valuable information. Let’s see what is the difference between fiction and non-fiction.

The best self-improvement books (summary):

The difference between fiction and non-fiction

Fiction and non-fiction have many differences from the characters of the story to the actions that they do. But we don’t care much about why they are different we care about the benefit of reading them and how both of them give us information. After all, we want to see why should we read non-fiction in the first place and not just fiction.

Before I get started I want to tell you that I don’t have a problem with people who read fiction, I am just comparing the 2 so more people can understand the benefit of reading informative books. Selfdisciplin-books can give you: a big chunk of information on the topic that you chose, a great story of someone doing what is told in the book, the story shows how you can implement the strategies in your life. A fiction book gives you: a relaxing/engaging imagery story, with little to no valuable information that you can implement in your life, and a great ending.

From what you see the non-fiction category can be relaxing and more informative than fiction. In my perspective, non-fiction won the fight for my time and money If you think that fiction is still better, then you can try to read at least 2 books from my recommendation list from this blog, and if you do not like them just get back to fiction. But I guarantee you that you won’t regret the choice of buying them.

How to read a non-fiction book

For your first read you can start from the first page and finish to the last but after you are done just go to the page you need to read. This type of book is full of information that you won’t remember just from the first time reading them so you need to revisit them at least 1 time a week so you can remember the knowledge. You need to practice what you learn, don’t just read it this is an essential way of using this kind of book. If you don’t use what you learn, why do you learn in the first place?

Where should I read a book?

I recommend reading where you feel the most relaxed which can vary from your chair to even the floor. One of my favorite spots to read is in bed before sleep, and this can help you fall asleep faster. If you want to feel more rested when you wake up and sleep better I recommend checking this blog.
